Bring me the horizon -count your blessings- album review[my take on things]

i have reviewed this bands other , newer album, and i feel i should review their first, "count your blessings" just to complete the whole package and all.This band is one of my very , very favorites, and on this cd, [ although they sort of have a different style from their other album- from deathcore to metalcore, - we already went over this in the other review- it still sounds EPIC-AWESOME-TASTY-HARDCORE -LICIOUS!!! ya.. i wrote that...] they still provide you with the same old funny and ridiculous song titles- like " braille[for stevey wonders hands only]", " i used to make out with medusa" , ''pray for plauges" and " fifteen fathoms and counting"[their only slow, pretty , acoustic, wordless song that you can relax to... that is very rare for bring me , if you think about it] and with titles as weird as that, you are bound to hear some really good music[ if you like deathcore like this... i know i do] as i said before in their first review, most good bands do come from the U.K [ where else right?] and earlier in their career they had a little trouble being excepted as a legit deathcore band, just trying to get by.But now.. they are excepted more than '' a little" now its- ALOT!! respected more then excepted for that matter. i give this album a 4 1/2 stars- screamo- hardcore- post metal- amazingness!!!!thats the way that bring me the horizon rolls!!

hoshin Engi-volume one[my take on things]manga review6

this manga is based off of a Chinese fantasy novel that was published years and years ago, the creator ryu fujisaki thought that covering this would be a fun experience.the main character , Taikbo, has his clan wiped out by the evil , yet alluring demon princess, Dakki, who has men at her side[hypnotized by her beauty] that do whatever she says.Taikbo finds an "old master" [young grasshopper , type old master-heehee]that assigns him "the hoshin project" that will stop the evil princess from taking over the entire region. Plus- what would any manga be without a cute little monster thingy sidekick, and he has one -shupushan. who is a magical dragon like creature that helps Taikbo in his adventure. At anything, this book starts out as intense as it ends. and that keeps you reading and reading.Comparing it to other manga, you could say that " dragon ball z and bleach had a baby"[that meaning it is like both combined into one storyline.]I would say that this is the perfect fantasy action manga, and is definitely worth the read. this book gets 5 stars out of 5 stars, that is the way all manga should be- epic- funny- and purely entertaining!!!!!!great job ryu fujisaki!!!

I know that soooooooooooooo many people love the cute little dude from invader zim, gir, but i am going to rant on his amazingness!!he is one of the funniest and randomest characters in cartoon and all pop culture history!he is to be worshiped i tell you!![not really.. hee hee]look i haz pictures!!

sometimes , kids these days... oh how do i say it... DON'T KNOW WHO IRON MAIDEN IS!!!!!!!

So this week i was in the hallway at my school and i was asked the most unbelievable question of my life. Some jock walks up behind me [while i was wearing an iron maiden shirt]and asks''whoa. what's an iron maiden"......................i can't even say anything to that. i was so revolted at the comment....... i am ashamed to have even seen his face.. kids these days.. just don't KNOW WHO IRON MAIDEN IS!!!!!Gaaaaaaa!!!! that is what is wrong with the world today!!.. parents should have raised him better.[i am done with my scene kid rant for today]

D.N angel , volume one [my take on things] manga review 5

This story was released many , years ago , and i couldn't help myself to reviewing a classic.There is a young boy with a crush of IMMENSE PROPORTIONS on a girl that he knows, and that turns out to be a problem. All because he ends up having a "genetic condition"..[not really.. more like a CURSE!!]and this ''condition" kicks in whenever the boy finds some one he "truly loves" , he somehow turns into the legendary"dark thief" and the problem is born!!The real frustration is when the kid finds out what he turns into, and quite frankly doesn't know what to do.. cuz' he reeeeeaaalllyyy!! , loves this one chick .. and so he thinks he can deal with it .. but is under danger of being caught by the cops , as well as being found out of who he really is, mostly by his parents and friends!!This story overflows with "awwwww" ," ooh.. sucks" and "geez .. guy can't get a break" moments.. but somehow it makes it all the more entertaining!!the books length doesn't even reach 200 pages [like most manga] but ..[like all other manga].. except the thick trigun books , you don't care how long it is , time flies when your reading a great manga... like this one!! yay!!A good manga is everything this one was, epic-ly funny , slightly mysterious , and all around just fun. 4 stars !![out of 5] WOOT!!

why i'm mad at deathnotes ending[ and i know that it happened a while ago.. but still!!]

I hate living so much in the past , but i can never forgive the way that the deathnote anime and manga series ended.[because some DUMB anime have cut out some parts or an entire story , from the manga ... AHEM!! :FULL METAL ALCHEMIST:hint , hint.So , basically light had completely blown his cover .. well it is mostly because of near , but still , HOW COULD HE HAVE BEEN SO STUPID?, and why did L have to die? .. i know that he was about to solve lights case , but really? i mean , near is just a nosy little mo-fo.and he's not as cute and nice as L was .. you even miss L's spontaneous snack times and sugar cube stacking... come on , you know you do!! and i suppose that ryuk had a point in killing light .. but i am just still after so many months. so devastated at the outcome of the series .. still good entertainment though.Alright , i am done with nerdy ranting for today. thanx - peace out!

We the kings [my take on things] album review 3

This band out of Miami , Florida , has just busted out onto the scene with their first hard rocking , happy , punk song heard by many " check , yes Juliet " that directly shows you" these guys sing about girls a lot "and i mean like, EVERY SONG ON THIS ALBUM.plus this whole album is pretty awesome itself [not just that one song.. of course] .To me , these guys are the best thing Miami has come up with since black tide , and that is ALL!!Most have compared this band to "blink 182" but with a different singer.. and i kind of agree.The album is self entitled , and has nothing on the front but , simply"we the kings" and some tree branch looking ..... things. ANYWAY, this punk , alternative , band has made quite a few catchy and shredding songs on this album , like "the quiet" , "skyway avenue" , " secret valentine" and an upbeat , heavy[almost.. ish, if you know what i'm saying] track "stay young" that makes you just want to go out and hug some one.. then go punch another person in the face!!This band knows how to make an album because they included , the always required " one slow song" , called " this is our town" .. and once you hear it.. you will cry.. but then smile!! yay , everyone likes a good split emotional song.I have become a fan of this band since i have heard this cd. And this album OWNED!!! [ and that is an understatement my friends]5 stars out of 5!! we want more!!encore!!

the nightmare inspector , volume one [my take on things] manga review 4

In this series , a young man who is known among the small town he lives in as " the nightmare inspector" has his first few cases .. and they are WEIRD!! He and his .. well " girlfriend type character " stay in a hotel / tea house , and make it the headquarters for the business. Now the plot is this: the main character , is actually a demon who [ somehow ] "literally" EATS peoples nightmares and helps them with the problems in them. In this one , he deals with a narcissistic man who loves himself so much , he sees a beautiful women in their reflection , and falls in love with her , [eww] , a suicidal girl who foretells the future with her blood.and a young woman who's dreams, foretell doom , by having her limbs and body parts missing in the process.[whoa..kinda creepy] it's a pretty freaky book but the story lines are so interesting , that it stops you from ever putting down the book!!...EVER , it will make you want to go out and get the next volume right away[ volumes one through 6 out now]. The art is phenomenal , it reminds you of the art from series like "spiral " and " D.N angel". Plus the storytelling is great , each chapter or case starts with a title "the 3'rd night " or "the 9'th night " and so on. In the end i thought it made a great mystery story and manga. Ever since i have started reading it , i have become a major fan , 5 stars out of 5 " way intense"

shaman king- volume 10 -[ my take on things] manga review 3

So for this manga series i am personally a fan of , plus it is a bestseller in my manga library"shaman king" the story of a young shaman , fighting his way to the top of the corrupted shaman world. [ not really , but i don't want to give anything away .. that means you people who are reading and have yet to actually start this series!! don't look at this!! read from the start!!]ANYWAY!! , in this volume , yoh , and the gang have crash landed in the American southwest to locate the patch village and participate in the next round of the shaman fight , but run into a local Indian woman who tells them some unfortunate information.. and it is that of this subject.. THE PATCH IS EVIL!! . and so the boys start going all " omg!!" , that sparks a fight [ kind of] .later , they are shocked with a strange fact about the mysterious , and powerful shaman fight participant " hao".. and it will make you DROP THE BOOK .[ I'm not kidding.. i have the page rip to prove it]sooo , as the boys travel on, dazed and confused , they meet an English shaman[ looks like a chick.. and is a dude.. ewww] and start a fight of unspeakable proportions [ 15 pages long]. At the end it was a book that surprised you left and right , page after page , and blew you away every action scene.. it will melt your face!! - 5 stars!! exceptional manga!![ cover art courtesy of Google images.]

protest the hero - fortress-[ my take on things] album review 2

[ first of all , if there are words or titles in parenthesis , those are song names from the album.. so ya.. read on.. ]This band out of Ontario , Canada , has just churned out their second album. They put out an album earlier in their career , " kieza" that was a concept album. [i can't recall what about] yet in this one , a plot really isn't present.. pretty much aside from a few lyrics like "Genghis khan is upon us , he slays his betrayers" [ bloodmeat]and others mentioning old time-ey , war references and ..... somehow about , goddess worshiping . [ basically the word blood, can be heard at least 3 times every 5 songs or so, is the point ] .. [ even if you could understand what in the world they are actually saying.. they scream quite a bit.] And do violent words and tasty guitar riffs , like they do, make a good album? ... YES!! as a matter a fact the way the cover art is put together.. you know that you are about to purchase an EPIC album!! [ album cover to the right , courtesy of Google images... awesome right?.. i thought so.] The sometimes IMPOSSIBLY high sounding voice of their lead singer, his low screams, crashing drum solos, bass and guitar breakdowns ,[bone marrow- palms read] can make you think.. wow.. could this be any better? well no!! because that's as good as it gets .. because all of that , in fact - equals - a memorable thrashing experience!! [ and if you got confused with that sentence .. it was a POSITIVE thing .. ya know .. in case protest the hero or their fans are reading . I am one , just by the way.] and with music like this , i have to give this one 4 1/2 stars .. because they SHRED!!!!

Why i'm mad at the fullmetal alchemist anime [ but not at the manga]

So on Monday or Tuesday of this week [ the 12'th or 13'th of January 2009 .. wow.. why did i have to explain that?] i was reminded by a friend about how the awesome , goodhearted , BEASTLY manga series " fullmetal alchemist" was basically cheated as the anime television show ... why , you ask? well it's because they basically [ they: viz media] only made the show up to about volume 10 of the manga , and then just made a movie to end the whole thing.. while the actual manga series itself was originally like tens of twenties of volumes [ COUGH , COUGH-STILL COMING OUT TOO!!] and that makes me mad.. that is all for my geeky ranting for today.. thank you and peace out! =-] [ and OF COURSE this pic was courtesy of Google images...]

I'M GOING TO IKICON[ anime convention]in februrary!!!omg

So this year [ i went last year] i am going to the once yearly anime convention in austin , texas , called IKICON [ that will be held at the hilton , downtown on february 6 through 8'th]!!! and i am dressing up as itachi [ from naruto] or "L" [from deathnote]... i really haven't quite decided yet..i am mostly picking those dudes because one - i like both those series that they are both in.- and two , i look like both of them[ with make up , or etc.]. Last year i went as kiba , from narato , and if i go as itachi this year , it will be the second year in a row that i would have been a character from naruto.- so ya .. ill keep you posted on my progress.. bye! peace! =)[ oh yeah , and for legal purposes , these pics were found on google images]

Fairy tail - volume 4 review- [ my take on things]manga review 2

This newer series made by Hiro Mashima , the creator of the acclaimed manga series " rave master" is a breath of fresh air to the manga scene , it is not only steering clear of being a regular crappy old manga that uses the same key components :a little humor - a few pervy instances[some more than others] - and mostly action[ depending on the genre] , but it almost has made it's own style. The spunky , loose cannon , natsu[drunk..actually] , rookie lucy , and dark , ominous grey have taken a mission from the " wizard assignment board" that is wayyyyy , ahead of their league , that asks wizards from the fairy tail guild to come and help a CURSED island from possible doom. [For people reading , this series is basically about a guild of wizards , and these wizards have a different type of magic to wield for each person , and they pretty much just OWN bad wizards and such] .So in this volume , all i can give away is that as the trio come to the island , more mysteries unfold , and a remnant found on the island of the past reminds grey of a dark past , and it all start some kind of fight!![ when i say that i mean it is QUITE intense.. lots of " woosh" and " KAPOW! " if you know what i'm saying... basically to sum it all up .. it could be called "sweet revenge violence"]and the cliff hanger at the end will leave you begging for more [ volume 5 coming soon] - it was a heart pounding action ride that can in fact make you laugh for a while.- it was epic but had a little of the " wtf is going on?!" ingredient - so 4 1/2 stars out of five .. still good manga though... you should read it from the beginning ... its even BETTER!![ and this image that is the cover was taken from google images- thanx.. i hope that review didn't suck..:]

Bring me the horizon - suicide season- album review-[ my take on things]

So with this new disc from hard British thrashers , "bring me the horizon" it brings a different sound as these guys somehow manage to change their sound from deathcore[in their first album "count your blessings"]to metalcore in this album- for you peeps who don't really know the dif.. ill tell you [ metalcore- as in bands like- job for a cowboy-arsonists get all the girls - basically intense screamo] yet metalcore on the other hand is more like these bands - as i lay dying - underoath - and these guys on this album[ basically intense screamo with some slowdown -ish parts]. And so the sound of this cd is awesome never the less . with dirty , chugging guitar riffs like in the 4 minute jam titled " the comedown" that [ just like in all other songs by them] somehow makes you think ...'' wow .. this lead singer really kind of .. HATES girls'' . And while we're on that matter ill add this ,- the lead man for the group "oli sikes" is one that raving metalcore [ or just them ] loving teenage fangirls think is ''so hot" and is in real life just one of the boys.. or so we hope.. ANYWAY , the disc includes humorously named tracks like " no need for introductions , i've read about girls like you on the back of toilet doors" [ once again.. back to that girl hating thing...] , " football season is over " and more that pretty much melt your listening face off with the angry yelp of their front man. The album has sounds that remind you of a war zone- screaming - crashing[ of drums ] and so on. One track imp articular , " diamonds aren't forever" has the lyrics that make a good song [ if violent , strange and entertaining are your components to a good song... mine are..] they say" we will never sleep for sleep is for the weak" with a raspy jaw dropping shout that you WILL LOVE.- and so at the end, this soup of screams - guitar solos- and various laughs to have here and there , made it to the good side of my favor- 5 stars out of 5!! this is heavy metal perfection. and this picture here is the band- sorry , i couldn't find the cover art.[ this image was found on google images]

Bleach : volume 25 - [ my take on things] mang a review 1

WOW im a nerd for typing this but its cool to do - this is my first manga review so here goes. So in this one , ichigo goes to shinji and the vizards and they think " awww cool yoo want to join us now so you can release and control your inner hollow? right?" and then ichigo is all like " nuh uh - i just want you guys to teach me and no i will NOT join you." so then they kind of agree with it ...yet OF COURSE ichigo had to pick a fight with shinji like he always did with renji , and so he is like " AAAALLLLLRIGGHHHHHTYYYYYYY THENNNNN! .... lets do this now" and he decides to be trained . so the stupid little vizard girl that iz very short and annoying puts him on a stupid little treadmill thing and ichigo gets mad and COMPLETLEY loses it and like..... attacks her as his hollowfied self... and so they eventually find something out [ hint hint: they find out how to contain his hollow] and yada yada it happens [ and i wont go any further on the matter because i dont want to spoil anything] MEANWHILE , toshiro , rengiku , and orihime all find out a bad thing from the old bearded captain guy from the soul society..... the newest ware abouts of Aizen!!!! OMG!!! - the end - so it wasn't a completely epic volume , yet it had its good points [ it entertained me for the time - thats all that matters]
